<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera which is provided with a photographic optical system for guiding subject light, and performs photographing by capturing the subject light passing through the photographic optical system and by which degradation in resolution due to the diffraction of the subject light passing through the photographic optical system is prevented and which is capable of adjusting both of the quantity of the subject light and the depth of field. <P>SOLUTION: The camera is provided with a pair of polarizing plates for adjusting the quantity of the subject light passing through the photographic optical system by relatively turning around an optical axis and an iris diaphragm for adjusting the quantity of the subject light passing through the photographic optical system by freely changing the dimensions of the aperture through which the subject light passes. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
