<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrooptical device of high definition and of high display quality by changing a rubbing direction to control alignment of an electrooptical substance such as liquid crystal molecules to transfer a disclination generating region and using a design rule of transparent electrodes corresponding thereto, in the electrooptical device. <P>SOLUTION: In the electrooptical device provided with a first substrate, a second substrate disposed opposite to the first substrate and the electrooptical substance interposed between the first and the second substrates via a sealing material, the electrooptical display device of high display quality free from disclination and the like can be provided by shifting the front view angle direction from an axial direction of 6:00 to 12:00 o'clock of the electrooptical device. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
