<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sheet processing apparatus, which can elongate durability of a receiving mat by shifting its position for receiving a cutting blade before the formation of a groove by the cutting blade by making the receiving mat movable, and can improve chip processing ability by automatically processing cut-off sheet chips by the shape of the receiving mat and the moving or turning function of the receiving mat. <P>SOLUTION: The typical configuration of the sheet cutting apparatus is provided with a cutting blade 81 for cutting a bundle of sheets, a mat 91 for receiving the cutting blade 81, a moving means for changing the receiving position of the mat 91 when receiving the cutting blade 81, and a counting means for counting the number of times of the cutting operation for a bundle of the sheets.
