PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a head slider which does not collide with a disk, of which impact force is relaxed even if the slider collides, and which is hard to cause damage. SOLUTION: This head slider has an almost rectangular parallelepiped shape and has a medium opposing plane 60 opposing to a disk, this medium opposing plane 60 has a first air lubricating plane 41 arranged on the rear stage side of a flow-in direction of an air stream, a second air lubricating plane 42 arranged on the front stage side of a flow-in direction of an air stream in the orthogonal direction to the flow-in direction of the air stream, and a side rail 43 arranged coupling to the second air lubricating plane 43 forward a flow-out direction from a flow-in direction of the air stream, and the height of the second air lubricating plane 42 is made higher than the height of the first air lubricating plane 41 and the side rail 43.
