PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a desired light blue plate glass without controlling the content of a coloring component to in an extremely small range. SOLUTION: The light blue plate glass is soda lime silica glass containing Nd by 0.001 to 0.1 mass% in terms of Nd<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and containing no Co, or even when the glass contains Co, the glass contains Co by <0.1 ppm by mass in terms of CoO. The light blue plate glass does not contain Fe, or even when it contains Fe, the glass has≤0.02% content in terms of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and 0.001 to 0.02% content in terms of Nd<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>, or the light blue sheet glass contains Fe by >0.02% and≤0.1% in terms of Fe<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>and contains 0.01 to 0.08% Nd in terms of Nd<SB>2</SB>O<SB>3</SB>.
