PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vending machine for food and drink in containers attaining power saving, reducing the container storage labor of a serviceman, facilitating the takeout of the container and increasing a feeling of cleanness to fully evoke a desire to buy. SOLUTION: This vending machine for food and drink in containers has a casing body; a drink cooling/heating device enclosed in the body to cool or heat the food and drink in the containers; a container feeder for feeding the container containing the drink, to the drink cooling/heating device; and a conveying device for conveying the container to the container feeder. The drink cooling/heating device is provided with a cooling/heating tank in which liquid of high temperature or low temperature is stored; a container holding device for holding the container in the cooling/heating tank; and a rotating device for rotating the container held by the container holding device, in the cooling/heating device.
