PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To carry out output peak control by giving a coupling means with PD receiving light in the same direction as LD, and making an operation speed of the monitor PD the same degree as LD. SOLUTION: The optical module is provided with a light emitting element on an Si platform, and an end face incident light receiving element through a graded index fiber as a monitor of the light emitting element by arranging an optical fiber deriving emission light from the light emitting element.
