PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an experiment management system and a method capable of performing automatically a prescribed experiment by controlling automatically a plurality of experimental apparatuses. SOLUTION: This experiment management system is equipped with small-sized computers 10A, 10B provided respectively on each experimental apparatus (measuring machine) 100A, 100B and having program storage parts 16A, 16B for storing operation programs of each experimental apparatus and radio communication parts 14A, 14B, and a management device (management PC) 50 for managing each small-sized computer through a communication device 70. The management device is equipped with a storage means 54 for storing a control program 54A including a start instruction of the operation programs, and a control means 52 for transmitting the start instruction to each small-sized computer through the communication device.
