PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spinning reel for fishing, resistant to the damage to a screw part formed on a driving shaft even by the application of high load without increasing the diameter of the driving shaft connected to a handle shaft. SOLUTION: The spinning reel for fishing is provided with a spool for winding and holding a fishing line and a handle 11 having a handle shaft 12 screwed and fixed to a driving shaft 6 of a driving gear 7 rotatably supported on a reel body and attachable to the right or the left of the reel body. The rotation of the handle 11 is transmitted to the rotor to wind the fishing line around the spool. A means for preventing excessive tightening of the screw part is formed on either one or both of the end face 12E of the handle shaft and the end face 6E of the driving shaft contacting with each other when the handle shaft 12 is screwed to the driving shaft 6. The excessive tightening of the screw part is prevented by suppressing the slippage between both end faces. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
