Continual process to extract carbon-based fuel from a renewable vegetable biomass involves shredding and chopping the non pre-sorted biomass by a mechanical process. The particles are then mixed, heated by saturated steam in the absence of oxygen and then pressed to create nodules. In the continued absence of oxygen, the nodules are again chopped and shredded and passed through a series of wet and dry distillation stages forming a carbon-based fuel (RC). The sole heating medium applied is saturated steam, high pressure steam and superheated steam. RC is used as a substitute for coal and charcoal, also as a hydration starting material the synthesis of hydrocarbons employed as a substitute for crude oil and natural gas. The raw biomass is harvested from re-planted soil which is irrigated by waste water of rainwater quality. Suitably clean waste water may be abstracted from impure water by solar energy. The overall process uses sub-processes which are adapted from currently used coal processes. An Independent claim is included for an assembly for the conversion of vegetable waste to carbon-based fuel.
