<p>The pipe or cable conduit (4) is enclosed by intumescent material (10) contained in a fire-proof folded webbing hose (5). The hose has several internal folds (6), connected to it via a thread (8), which melts or is burnt during a fire. The hose is of a dense glass fiber, silicate, ceramic, silicon oxide, teflon, inorganic fiber material, or a combination of these. The folds are sewn to the hose along foot points (7), to divide the hose into chambers (9), which contain granular intumescent material.</p> |
