Gene fragments encoding an antibody fragment which contains the variable regions of the heavy and/or light chains of a human anti-IgE receptor antibody, which binds to human IgE receptor and is able to inhibit the binding of human IgE to its receptor, are new. Independent claims are also included for: (1) antibody fragments produced by expression of the gene fragments using a recombinant expression vector; and (2) allergy treatment agents containing the antibody fragments. ACTIVITY : Antiallergic. No biological data is given. MECHANISM OF ACTION : Inhibitor of binding of IgE to its receptor.
