PURPOSE: An exhaust gas recirculation system and a control method of the same are provided to improve distribution quality of the EGR(Exhaust Gas Recirculation) by installing an EGR inflow flange with an EGR air inflow venturi and an EGR inflow venturi structure on outside of a cylinder head, and installing a water spraying pintle nozzle on the EGR inflow flange to introduce water into a combustion chamber together with air passing an inter-cooler and EGR passing the venturi. CONSTITUTION: An EGR inflow flange(10) has an EGR air inflow venturi and an EGR inflow venturi structure, and is installed on outside of a cylinder head(1). A water tank(20) is connected with the EGR inflow flange through a first line(21). A water spraying pintle nozzle(30) is connected to one end of the first line, and driven by an ECU(100) to spray water at mapping rate corresponding with approximately 10% of EGR gas introduced into a combustion gas through an EGR valve(4) together with air passing an inter-cooler(8) and EGR passing the venturi. An exhaust manifold(2) and an intake manifold(3) are connected to each other through a second line(41) to which the EGR valve is coupled. An EGR cooler(40) is installed on the second line to drop down temperature of water sprayed by the pintle nozzle. Water stored in the water tank is compressed by an external gear(50) driven by a fan belt of a crankshaft. A second throttle valve(60) is formed on the other end of the first line.
