Measurement of size distribution of centrifugally separated particles

Measuring the absolute size and size distribution of particle assemblies which are separated centrifugally by means of multiangle scattering is described. UV/visible light beam (43) is scattered at the particles of centrifugally separated sample (28). The scattered light is collected by a net of detectors (17,41), to detect light under different scattering angles. The measured intensities are combined to calculate size and mass of the particles.
