<p>A papermaking assembly has a sliding sieve which is supported by a transverse beam (1) with a ceramic cover plate (2) and a profiled anchorage groove (10) open at the bottom. The cover plate and beam are linked esp. by twin-dovetail plugs (3) locating in matching dovetail grooves (11, 21). The beam and plastic plugs are made e.g. of e.g. steel, a hard plastic such as polyethylene, glass-fibre reinforced plastic, carbon fibre or similar. The dovetail plugs may be sprung-inserts which compensate for dimensional differences driven by thermal expansion and contraction. Adjacent ceramic plates are each 10-20 cm long and are bridged by the dovetail plugs.</p> |
