Carpet made on a pile wire loom

The woollen pile yarns have a thickness of Nm 4 - 10 (250 - 100 tex) and the pile nep (2) count amounts to 120,000 - 200,000 per m2 of carpet. The pile height is 2 mm or less and yarn consumption per pile warp is 600 - 1000 g/m2 of carpet. The carpet incorporates two yarns systems that intersect at a right angle and at least 34 rows of pile neps (3) per 10 cm in the direction of the transverse yarn system.
