PURPOSE: A structure for reducing noise of a sub muffler is provided to reduce noise by adding a plurality of reinforcements on a periphery of an outer case of the sub muffler formed on the middle of an exhaust pipe for reinforcing rigidity so as to improve characteristic frequency. CONSTITUTION: A sub muffler(20) comprises a cylindrical case(21); an end pipe(22) inserted to an end of the case; an inner pipe(23) having one end passing a central penetrating hole of the end pipe and stored in the case; and glass wool(24) charged in a space between an inner circumferential surface of the case and a peripheral surface of the inner pipe. Reinforcements(25) are protruded from the peripheral surface of the case at regular intervals. The reinforcements are formed in hemispheric shape correspondingly with the case divided into two in axial direction. The reinforcements are formed integrally with the case as the case undergoes press finishing or casting. Diameters of both ends of the case are reduced so that the ends of the case are coupled to the end pipe and the inner pipe, respectively.
