A cured rubber made of a curable rubber composition containing a curable organopolysiloxane or a curable perfluoropolyether group-containing organosilicon compound, a curing agent and silica filler having a mean particle size of 0.001-10 mu m, is treated by post-treating 100 pbw cured rubber with 0.5-30 pbw hydrolyzable aminosilane or amidosilane having a silicon-nitrogen bond in vapor form. An independent claim is also included for a method of making a rubber article, comprising curing the above rubber composition in a mold; and treating the resulting article. |
