[Also in Divisions A2 and C7] A pellet for oral administration to ruminants comprises magnesium or magnesium alloy and particles of iron the term "iron" includes steel within its scope having a coating of refractory material thereon, the proportion of iron being such that the specific gravity is at least 2.2. The coating of refractory material may be iron oxide formed by oxidising the iron particle surfaces by heating in air or by rusting, refractory material applied by coating the particles with a wash thereof or iron phosphate formed by treating the particles with a solution containing a phosphate. The magnesium alloy may contain aluminium and copper. |
