METHOD FOR RETRIEVING TELEPHONE NUMBERS OF MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A method for retrieving telephone numbers of a mobile communication terminal is provided to decide whether a telephone number having the same value is stored by using a CRC(Cyclic Redundancy Check) stored at a CRC table as a hashing value, and to read user information by a decided index value, then to display the read user information, thereby quickly retrieving the user information. CONSTITUTION: A system calculates a CRC for a telephone number among PIM(Personal Information Management) data, and generates a CRC table(S201). The system calculates a CRC of a caller's telephone number detected while receiving a call(S202). The system compares the calculated CRC of the caller's telephone number with a CRC table of a telephone number stored in an RAM(S203). The system extracts an index of data having the same CRC value(S204). The system reads data substantially stored in an ROM by the index of the data having the same CRC value(S205). The system displays the data on a screen, and stores reception information(S206).
