STRUCTURE FOR PREVENTING OIL LEAKAGE OF VACUUM PUMP

PURPOSE: A structure for preventing oil leakage of a vacuum pump is provided to efficiently prevent oil from flowing into pump chambers of a vacuum pump. CONSTITUTION: A vacuum pump absorbs gas by operating gas carrying bodies(23-32) of pump chambers(39-43) through rotation of rotary shafts(19,20). The vacuum pump includes oil housing members(14,33), stoppers, and cylinder wall surfaces. The oil housing members limit an oil area(331) adjacent to the pump chambers. The stoppers have cylinder surfaces and are placed on the rotary shafts to rotate integratedly with the rotary shafts to prevent oil from flowing into the pump chambers. Centers of curve parts of the cylinder wall surfaces coincide with the centers of the rotary shafts. The cylinder wall surfaces surround at least part of the cylinder surfaces of the stoppers. The cylinder wall surfaces are inclined to reduce a distance between axial lines of the cylinder wall surfaces and the rotary shafts toward the oil area.
