PURPOSE: A device for measuring atmospheric pressure for testing the performance of a multimeter barometer, and a testing method thereof are provided to check whether a barometer of a multimeter operates normally by comparing standard atmospheric pressure values per altitude measured by a reference sensor with atmospheric pressure values of the multimeter. CONSTITUTION: A device for measuring atmospheric pressure for testing the performance of a multimeter barometer includes a barometer(10), a reference sensor(11), a heating part(12) for heating vapor, a heating controller(13) for controlling the heating part, an opening/closing element controller(15) for controlling an opening/closing element(14) to control a vapor amount, and a main controller(16) outputting control signals to the heating and opening/closing controllers according to atmospheric pressure signals input from the reference sensor.
