PURPOSE: A method for detecting a starting point of a symbol of an OFDM receiver is provided to estimate the starting point of the symbol by using a preamble. CONSTITUTION: A receiving state of a frame is checked by using the power of a received signal and the intensity of a received signal of an RF module(S1). A cumulative correlation value is obtained(S2). Each cumulative correlation value is obtained and stored by adding correlation values during each sample block(S3). The cumulative correlation value having a maximum absolute value is set up as a reference value(S4). A starting point of a symbol is decided by comparing the cumulative correlation values to the reference value(S5-S7).
