<p>A process for purification of biopolymers involving complete removal of solvent used to extract of the biomass by steam distillation to give a granulate of % organic solvent content less than 25%, enrichment of the impurities in the granulate, separation of the aqueous phase, and separation of the washed granulate from the washing solution is new. A process for purification of biopolymers involving complete removal of solvent used to extract of the biomass by steam distillation to give a granulate of % organic solvent content less than 25%, treatment of the granulate at least once with any water miscible organic washing solution, so that by displacing the aqueous phase by the washing solution the water soluble impurities and the impurities dissolved in the eluted organic solvent are transferred into the washing solution, the impurities in the granulate are enriched, the aqueous phase is then separated, and the washed granulate is separated from the washing solution.</p> |
