SOFTWARE MULTICASTING METHOD IN P2P SYSTEM FOR TRANSMITTING STREAMING DATA AND DEVICE THEREOF

PURPOSE: A software multicasting device in a P2P system for transmitting streaming data is provided to more efficiently multicast data than an IP multicasting method or an existing unicasting method as minimizing the number of clients wanting to receive a streaming data service, thereby transmitting streaming data to a server without increasing a physical device. CONSTITUTION: A streaming server(430) transmits streaming data. Multicasting groups consist of multicasting clients(420-427) for receiving multicasting data and transmitting the streaming data to other multicasting clients. A multicasting group management server(410) manages the multicasting groups. The multicasting clients(420-427) requesting the streaming data are configured in multicasting groups by the multicasting group management server(410). The streaming data is transmitted to other multicasting clients by using a P2P system.
