PURPOSE: A breed of Cymbidium having improved flowering activity and patterns in leaves and flowers, named Dae-guk is provided. It is cheaply mass-producing by using tissue culture technique. CONSTITUTION: A breed of Cymbidium having improved flowering activity and patterns in leaves and flowers, named Dae-guk is prepared by extracting an growing point from the young bud of prior Cymbidium; culturing the growing point of Cymbidium on a MS(murashige-skoog) medium containing hormone to induce azo-mutation; selecting one azo-mutated protocorm-like body(PLB); mass-proliferating the selected azo-mutated protocorm-like body(PLB) to obtain shoots; growing shoots and sub-culturing them for more than 3 generations, wherein the breed of Cymbidium named Dae-guk has the following properties: (1) leaf pattern of yellow stripes in white, (2) brilliant leaf, (3) leaf length of about 40cm, (4) leaf width of 1.5 to 1.8 cm, (5) leaf number of 4 to 5, (6) stripe flower pattern, (7) length of flower stalk of 30 to 35cm, (8) flower size of 3cm x 2.5cm, (9) slope of flower stalk of 20 to 30 degree, (10) flowering time of March to May and September to October, (11) flowering number of 2 times, (12) blossom number of 13 to 16, (13) no virus, (14) disease tolerance of A level, (15) tissue culture production, and (16) used for differentiation.
