PURPOSE: A feedback method for an HSDPA(High Speed Downlink Packet Access) system using an OFDMA(Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiple Access) is provided to transmit a channel state based on the number of blocks assigned to a wireless device, so that a base station can receive more than one feedback or CQI(Channel Quality Information) signals from the wireless device, corresponding to tones of more than one block. CONSTITUTION: A base station of a wireless communication system generates more than one pilot signal. A wireless device which desires to access HSDPA services of the base station receives orthogonal tones of plural blocks within a carrier from the base station(20). The wireless device transmits at least one initial CQI signal in response to the receipt of the tones to the base station(30). When the initial CQI signals are received, a scheduling algorithm is started(40). The base station assigns tones of more than one block to a newly scheduled wireless device(50). The scheduled wireless device transmits more than one follow-up CQI signal to the base station(60).
