PURPOSE: A method for executing additional functions of a mobile communication video terminal is provided to decide a kind of a file selected by a user, and to reproduce the file by opening the file according to the decided kind, thereby enabling the user to execute various additional services while making a video call. CONSTITUTION: A system selects a desired menu among video call contents storage, short message writing, and chatting menus(S11-S20). If a user selects the video call contents storage menu, the system adds header information showing video call contents and attributes of the video call contents, and stores the added header information in a flash memory(S21-S26). If the user selects the short message writing menu, the system calls a short message writing routine to input a short message, and transmits the short message to other party. If the user selects the chatting menu, the system calls a messenger to enable a chatting with the other party(S61-S66).
