HGA, ACTUATOR AND DISC DRIVE, AND METHOD FOR OPERATING DISC DRIVE

PURPOSE: An HGA(Head Gimbal Assembly), an actuator and a disc drive, and a method for operating the disc drive are provided to enhance reliability of a read/write head accessing a surface of the rotated disc through reduction of a track position error by minimizing turbulence generated around the read/write head. CONSTITUTION: A slider includes the read/write head communicating with the rotated disc surface in the inside of an air bearing. Airfoil boundaries(300) reduce the turbulence caused by the HGA(60) accessing the rotated disc surface. The slider(100) is attached a head suspension including at least one airfoil boundary. Each airfoil boundary has a height adapted to the air bearing and same or lower than a height of the slider. The slider includes the first slide edge(130) and the second slider edge(136) parallel to the first slider edge. The second slider edge is adjacent to the read/write head. At least one airfoil boundary is adjacent to the first slider edge.
