PURPOSE: Provided is a shampoo composition for the prevention of depilation, which contains, as an active ingredient, the root extract of Angelica gigas Nakai or Arctium lappa L. Therefore, the composition helps the metabolism of hair to prevent depilation. CONSTITUTION: A shampoo composition for the prevention of depilation contains, as an active ingredient, 0.1-10 wt.% of the root extract of Angelica gigas Nakai or Arctium lappa L. The extract is obtained by extracting 100 parts by weight of the root of Angelica gigas Nakai or Arctium lappa L. with 500-1000 parts by weight of an ethanol solution containing 30-100 wt.% of methanol.
