PURPOSE: A method for selecting a menu by an abbreviated key is provided to immediately connect to a desired menu by using an abbreviated key. CONSTITUTION: A control unit judges whether an abbreviated key registration menu is selected in a standby mode. If the abbreviated key registration menu is selected, the control unit provides the abbreviated key registration menu to register an abbreviated key. If a specific key is inputted(S210) and a numerical key is inputted(S212), the control unit starts counting(S216,S218). If the specific key is continuously inputted for certain time(S220), the control unit recognizes the specific key as an abbreviated key and provides a corresponding menu(S222).
