PURPOSE: A battery charging apparatus is provided to achieve improved portability, while allowing the terminal to be charged by using the battery power of another terminal. CONSTITUTION: A battery charging apparatus(100) comprises a first connector(110) having a power terminal same as the power terminal of a data communication connector, wherein the first connector is connected to a data communication connector(106) of a provider portable communication terminal(102); a second connector(116) having a power terminal same as the power terminal of the data communication connector, wherein the second connector is connected to a data communication connector(108) of a receiver portable communication terminal(104); a charging control unit(114) for charging the receiver portable communication terminal by providing the power inputted through the power terminal of the first connector to the receiver portable communication terminal through the power terminal of the second connector until the level of the battery voltage of the receiver portable communication terminal has reached the charge voltage level set by a user; and a switch(112) which operates by the user and turns on/off the power supply path between the power terminal of the first connector and the charging control unit.
