PURPOSE: A washing machine for cleaning a washing tub and a cleaning method of the washing tub are provided to prevent slime or deposits in the washing tub by removing bubbles or fluffs from the inside of the washing tub with evenly injecting water to the inner wall of the washing tub from a water supply nozzle, and to improve the reliability by washing with keeping the washing tub clean. CONSTITUTION: A washing machine is composed of a water tub(12) storing water from a water supply port(10) in washing; a washing tub(14) rotated and embedded in the water tub; and a water supply nozzle(80) installed in the lower part of the water supply port to evenly inject water throughout the inside of the washing tub. The water supply nozzle includes a hollow pipe(81) inserted to the water supply port to flow water from the water supply port to the water supply nozzle, a nozzle neck(82) formed in the lower part of the hollow pipe, and plural sectorial nozzle holes(83) injecting water through the hollow pipe and the nozzle neck to the inside of the washing tub entirely and evenly to remove pollutants from the washing tub. |
