METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR PACKAGING DIGITAL CONTENTS

PURPOSE: A method and a system for packaging digital contents are provided to receive certification and settlement when the digital contents are played or executed on a Windows media player by including a contents header comprising a certification key and the information for the contents to a digital contents file. CONSTITUTION: A computer(220) converts the digital contents file(200) into a predetermined file format and packages the converted digital contents file(210). A database(260) stores/manages the package related information. An application server(250) transmits the package related information transmitted from the computer to a database by connecting to the database. The computer comprises a user input part(222) receiving the information for the digital contents file to be packaged, an encoder(224) converting the digital contents file into a WMF(Windows Media File) format, a packager(226) packaging the digital contents file of the WMF format, and a data transmitter(228) transmitting the package related information to the application server.
