POWER ON/OFF APPARATUS IN FOLDER TYPE MOBILE COMMUNICATION TERMINAL

PURPOSE: A power ON/OFF apparatus in a folder type mobile communication terminal is provided to make power ON/OFF by using a side key without causing a trouble to open a mobile communication terminal. CONSTITUTION: A folder open detector(10) recognizes whether a folder of a mobile communication terminal is opened or closed and informs a main processor and a side key select controller(30) accordingly. A power ON/OFF button input detector(20) recognizes that a power ON/OFF button(S1) provided in a key pad is pressed, generates a power ON/OFF control signal and transfers it to the main processor to allow power of the terminal to be turned on/off. The side key select controller(30) generates the power ON/OFF control signal according to a folder open detect signal applied from the folder open detector(10) and a side key input detect signal applied from a side key input detector(40). The side key input detector(40) recognizes that a side key(S2) is pressed, generates the side key input detect signal and transfers it to the main processor and the side key select controller(30).
