METHOD FOR DRIVING PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL

PURPOSE: A method for driving a plasma display panel is provided to make the following sustain discharge smooth by reinforcing the space charge, thereby previously preventing the miss discharge and the low discharge in the sustain discharge. CONSTITUTION: A method for driving a plasma display panel includes the steps of: reinforcing the sustain discharge by applying a fine pulse to reinforce the space charge; and applying the sustain pulse to perform the discharge for displaying the image on the addressing cell in real and continuously when the fine pulse is applied. The plasma display panel includes a plurality of scan electrodes, a plurality of sustain electrodes and a plurality of address electrodes, wherein the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes are formed on a first substrate and the address electrodes are formed on the second substrate with crossing the scan electrodes and the sustain electrodes.
