摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To restrain the increase of pumping loss of an internal combustion engine caused by a driver returning an accelerator pedal for displaying sufficiently a fuel consumption saving effect when torque is added to the outside shaft of the internal combustion engine by a torque adding means provided separately from the internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: This controller operates a motor-generator provided with both functions of a motor and generator as a motor (S260) when a vehicle is under the accelerated condition (S120 and S130: YES) and the charge amount of a battery is sufficient (S170: YES) to add positive rotational torque to the output shaft of an internal combustion engine. In addition of such torque, the desired rotational frequency (provisional desired rotational frequency Nepo) of an internal combustion engine to determine reduction gear ratio I of a continuously variable transmission is correctively reduced (S300, S240) according to the output torque of the motor-generator so that the reduction gear ratio I of the continuously variable transmission is reduced with the output equal to that in the addition of no torque.
