FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to device for machining flexible flat articles with feeding device 10. Feeding device 10 contains feed members 12 arranged one after the other. They consist of shaft segment 24 set continuously into motion in direction B of rotation and countermember 26 engaged with shaft segment. Rear section 44 of corresponding shaft segment 24, together with countermember 26, form in receiving an inlet clearance 48 whose front end is closed. Rear section 44 forms stop 62 for front edge 52 of fed article 19. At least approximately simultaneously with moment of touching of stop 62 with front edge 52, section 46 of side surface following rear section 44 forms, together with countermember 26, a guide clearance 48 in which article 19 held for further transportation by feed member 12.
