FIELD: ferrous metal industry; electric arc furnaces and electrodes used in them. SUBSTANCE: fitting is, essentially, double-ended threaded biconical or cylindrical body provided with longitudinal through hole. The latter accommodates aluminum or copper metal that protrudes beyond this body and encloses it at ends. Resistivity of this metal is lower than that of fitting body metal. Fitting manufacture processes include production of fitting body using following well-known procedures: making longitudinal through hole or holes in fitting body; filling hole in fitting body with metal by pouring it, by means of threaded joint between rods, or by wedging the rods.
