Earthing measurement device comprises a variable frequency ground current meter (1) and measurement pegs (2, 3) inserted in the ground and electrically connected to the meter. The connection means comprises a portable cable roll (6) and an associated cable (5). A signal amplifier is securely contained within the cable roll to amplify a measurement signal before it reaches the current meter.
