LIFT FOR HANDICAPPED PERSON AND INSTALLATION METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: A lift for the handicapped and an installation method thereof are provided to reduce construction works, installation hours and installation cost by mounting the lift at the side of the stairs simply, and to improve convenience and safety of the user by preventing breakage of the stairs or accidents. CONSTITUTION: A lift comprises a machine room(10) having a hoist(11) in the upper part of stairs(2); a guide rail(20) inclined and installed in the side wall of the stair and supports spaced from the side wall of the stair along the stairs; a passenger room(30) composed of gates(31) in the front and rear parts and fixing parts(32) at both sides, and mounted in the guide rail to move along the guide rail by the hoist; and a connecting unit(40) connecting the fixing part to the hoist to transmit power of the hoist. A protruded sill is formed in the guide rail, and a couple of rollers are engaged with the upper and lower parts of the protruded sill by rotating outside the passenger room.
