The system for voting on line uses at least two distinct servers - a vote server (12) accessible on line by voters, and a secure internal server (11) which is not accessible to voters. Identification codes are used for voters, enabling the production of an anonymous voter database. Votes are collected by the vote server and returned in batches to the internal server. The system for voting on line allows a number of voters to be called upon to express at least one vote for at least one candidate. The system uses at least two distinct servers - a vote server (12) accessible on line by voters, and a secure internal server (11) which is not accessible to voters. The internal server (11) comprises a system for attributing at least one identification code to each of the voters, in order to create a database (121) of anonymous voters, and a system for transmitting these identification codes to the vote server (12). It includes a system for returning a batch of votes recorded by the vote server, and a system for processing these votes. The identification codes associated with these votes are returned to the database. A vote may be recorded remotely, with the voter being identified by his code or codes, with the aid of the anonymous database. A further section of the system returns votes recorded on the vote server to the internal server.
