The driving hammer (1) for devices (2) penetrating into the ground is constituted by a solid tube (10) supporting a mass (12). It is inserted in a hollow tube (20) located in the upper part of the devices. The hollow tube is closed at its lower end by a stop plate (21). The height of the solid tube is greater than that of the hollow tube so that the lower end of the solid tube strikes the stop plate to force the devices into the ground. Independent claims are included for device to penetrate into the ground and a method for driving the device into the ground.
