PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a system for measuring geometric data of an automobile wheel rotatably-installed around a rotary shaft. SOLUTION: In at least two planes 19 and 20 perpendicular to the rotary shaft 1 provided on this system, distance from a reference position 5 and a rotation angle position of each measurement point to a plurality of measurement points on each outer edge of a corresponding point for a wheel(wheel rim 9) is measured, and then the position of the automobile wheel 2 against the rotary shaft 1 is determined from the above measured value.
