INCOMING DIRECTION ESTIMATION DEVICE AND INCOMING DIRECTION ESTIMATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To estimate the incoming direction highly accurately by using an antenna element excluding an antenna element having a large variation of an antenna characteristic when an antenna pattern is changed by an unexpected obstacle. SOLUTION: This method is characterized as follows: an incoming radio wave is received by a plurality of antennas; the incoming direction is estimated by a received signal corresponding to the antenna element with the number of the antenna elements smaller by one than the total number of the plurality of antenna elements among a plurality of received signals from the plurality of antennas; this arrival direction estimation is executed in all the combinations of the antenna elements; the antenna element having the maximum characteristic change is determined from the change of the estimation result; and the incoming radio wave is estimated by using the output received signal corresponding to the other antenna elements excluding the antenna element having the maximum characteristic change.
