PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a butterfly valve preventing external leak of fluid flowing in the butterfly valve, capable of smoothly turning a valve element and easily and surely blocking flow passage in a valve main body, and not requiring to supply lubricant from outside. SOLUTION: A bearing 14 is provided in a valve body 3 cylindrical part 13 rotatably supporting a valve stem 2 to enable to slightly move in an extension direction of the valve stem 2. The bearing is energized by a spring 15 to press-contact a flat surface at a rotational center of a valve plate outer circumference. The valve plate 1 is put between two bearings and is enabled to slide in the valve stem extension direction. The bearing is composed of lubricative porous body. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
