PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground sample collecting device which is suitable for ground survey for detached house, and positively carries out the ground survey at a low cost and with sufficient accuracy. SOLUTION: An excavating blade 2 for excavating the ground is attached to the tip of a sampling rod 1 which is penetrated into the ground for collecting ground samples. The excavating blade 2 has its tip sharpened. The sampling rod 1 has a sample collecting groove 3 spirally and sequentially engraved therein from the excavating blade 2 over the entire length thereof for collecting the ground samples excavated by the excavating blade. Further the device has reaming blades 4 attached to outer peripheral portions of the excavating blade 2 for excavating a shaft 5 which has a larger diameter than the outer diameter of the excavating blade 2.
