PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction stirring and joining device which enhances the strength of a work to be joined and need not fill a joining hole separately. SOLUTION: A tool fitting table 23 to fit a tool pin 21 is detached from the tool pin 21 while the tool pin 21 is embedded in a work 22. The tool pin 21 detached from the tool fitting table 23 is fixed to works 22a and 22b while embedded in the works 22a and 22b. Joining holes formed in the works 22a and 22b by embedding the tool pin 21 are closed by the tool pin 21, and the strength of the works 22a and 22b is enhanced. Further, a step of separately closing the joining hole 90 is unnecessary by fixing the tool pin 21 in an embedded condition in the joining hole 90. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
