PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paper sheets treating apparatus which can reduce a missorting of paper sheets due to misreading of address information by an optical character reader, etc. SOLUTION: A paper sheets sorting treating apparatus 11 is provided with a supplying part 12 for supplying paper sheets on which destination information is written to a transportation path one by one, a printing part 14 for printing identification information onto supplied paper sheets, a reading part 13 for reading the identification information and the address information, a judging part 17 which compares reading result of the address information with operator's key-touching result and in the case of mismatching, the reading result is judged to be misreading and the misreading result is accumulated and a sorting part 15 which sorts the paper sheets to every destination based on the reading result of the address information or the operator's key-touching result. Further the paper sheets sorting treating apparatus 11 is provided with a video encoding device 21 equipped with a display part 22 which displays image information including address information read by the reading part and an input part 23 which inputs operator's key-touching result as the address information. When reading result of the paper sheets accords with the accumulated misreading result above a prescribed number, the video encoding device 21 displays the image information including the address information read by the reading part in the display.
