There is provided a music box of great volume and excellent sound quality. A box is formed of a sounding board for transferring a sound produced by a movement of a music box, three columns for supporting the sounding board, a bottom plate, side plates, and supplementary wood pieces. Spacers are disposed between a base frame of the movement and the sounding board and leg portions are disposed at a lower face of the bottom plate and are integrally fixed to the columns by screw bodies. Spaces formed by the spacers and the leg portions function effectively for transmitting the sound.
